Taxi from Cha am to Bangkok airport.

Hi, my family (4 of us) will be travelling up from Malaysia through southern Thailand and ending up in Cha am for a couple of days before flying home. We have to be at the airport very early morning! (7 am) What's the best way to get there? Do we have to go by Taxi? How much does a taxi to Bangkok airport cost from Cha am?
I got it for 1200 from Hua-Hin to Bangkok International Airport

At that time in the morning your only real option is to go by Taxi from Cha am to Bangkok airport. The current rate ( as of May 2009 ) is 2,500 Baht. The best and most reliable places to book your taxi are from either your hotel or one of the travel agents on Cha am beach road (near the Methavalai Hotel).
Some of these travel agents also run a direct Cha am to Bangkok airport minibus service, so check with them to see if they have an early departure.
