Restaurants near the Alila Hotel Cha-am

My wife and I are staying at the Alila Hotel later on in the year. Are there any restaurants or bars within walking distance of the hotel or will we have to go into Cha am for an evening meal. If we have to go into Cha am approximately how much will a taxi cost.

Hi,

It's very quiet around the Alilia (now called The Hotel Cha am). A few moments along the beach (towards Cha am - literally 5 minutes walk, it's the next development)you come to Baan Talay Samran. There is a little restaurant there next to the reception. Also a couple of shops if you need some basics. Good food and very cheap. You may well be the only customers though and it doesn't stay open late. Go for lunch one day and check it out. It's very close.

A short drive (hotel can arrange transport for you) gets you to a great restaurant called Mum's Bistro. Really good Thai food, very welcoming reception and service and very very cheap. they also give you a free lift home if you ask for a taxi! It's on the Hospital Road, just before you get to the family Mart on the main road down to the seafront. It's opposite the night market, so you can do a bit of shopping and have a good meal too. Ask your hotel which nights the market is on. The restaurant wasn't open every night the last time I was there, so you might want to get your hotel to ring them first to check.

Otherwise your best bet is to go into Cha am Beach or Hua Hin (only 20mins away by car). Enjoy!

Restaurant near Alila Hotel
by: AC

At the moment there is not very much around the Alila Hotel in Cha Am.
There is a seafood restaurant about ten minutes walk away to the north of the Alila, located
on the beach-front, but it is down a dirt track with no lighting at night. You can of course walk along the beach.
There is another small restaurant near the Baan Talay Samran (high rise block just to the south of the Alila), but again no lights on the road at night.

The hotel of course has it's own restaurants and bar, but for anything else you will probably need transport.
The hotel has it's own cars, so sorry I do not know how much they charge. You will have to contact the hotel direct to ask them.
