The town itself is not of much interest, but the area boasts some beautiful beach areas, with just the odd luxury resort dotted along the coastline. Thaao Ko Sa Forest Park. This is a very beautiful stretch of beach. The main attraction here apart from the beach is the mountain known as Skull Mountain ( Khao Kalok ) with it's raised natural rock arch.

Khao Kalok beach at low tide. Here you can hire quad bikes or even do some kite surfing. 
The Southern side of Skull mountain is full of fishing boats, with Khao Samroi Yot National Park in the distance

Pak Nam Pran beach is a good place to sit in the shade and try some cheap local seafood in the small restaurants lining the beach.
