Prachuap Khiri Khan

Prachuap Khiri Khan Thailand
The town of Prachuap Khiri Khan is a very laid back and pleasant place to visit and is quite rightly famous for it's great seafood which can be bought from many restaurants and stalls that line the waterfront in the town and on the beaches.
Some 300 Kms South of Bangkok, Prachuap has not been developed into a major tourist destination like nearby Hua Hin, and so you can still enjoy a taste of the real Thailand.
The town it's self in located on the middle of three crescent shaped bays, which are surrounded by limestone peaks and many small hilly islands, making it a very scenic location.
These three bays ( Ao Manao, Ao Prachuap and Ao Noi ) all have very pleasant beaches, the most popular being Ao Manao which is just a few Kms South of the town centre, located in the Royal Thai Airforce base - Wing 53. During the weekends and public holidays this beach can get very busy, but it's fairly peaceful during weekdays.
