Hua Hin Thailand

Hua Hin is Cha am's much bigger neighbour, located just over 20 km
to the South, it has developed into a large international style resort town.
The once small fishing village started to develop after King Rama VII built Klai Kangwon (Far From Worries) Palace (this palace is still used today by the Royal Family) and the resort became a great favourite with the high-society of Bangkok, becoming Thailand's first seaside resort .
Today it is a well established, with world-class hotels, popular with both foreigners and Thais.
The are many things to do and see in the area, one of the main ones being Golf. The town boasts Thailand's first golf course located just behind the railway station in the centre of town. Now-days there are many more courses in the area, with 6 international standard courses, and plenty of others, with more on the way!
There are plenty of beach activities and water sports on offer including horse riding, banana boats, water-skiing, jet skis, sailing, windsurfing, para-sailing and of course, just lazing on the beach!.
Inland you can go Elephant riding, visit the Panee Butterfly Farm, wander around many Temples or go trekking in the nearby Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park or Kaeng Krachan National Park.
If your here in June you can enjoy the annual Jazz Festival, or the Vintage car rally from Bangkok in December.
There is a great variety of accommodation both in town on on the beaches, from basic guest houses to luxury 5 star resorts and spas.
