Hua Hin weather is typically tropical and hot all year round. Situated on the East coast of the Gulf of Thailand some 220 km south of Bangkok, this area is regarded as one of the best and driest climates in Thailand.

The year can be split into two distinct seasons, the wet season and the dry season, with the dry season split between cool - dry and hot - dry.

Cool dry - during this period, you can expect mainly blue skies, with less humidity and cooler nights. December and January are the best months to visit the Hua Hin area. Early November usually gets some rain as the monsoon moves south and the skies start to clear. Average temperatures are 25/26 C during the day, dropping to around 18/20 C at night.

Hot dry - Humidity starts to build up during this time. With the humidity, the temperatures rise and days and nights become hot and sticky. Expect some afternoon showers starting in April and increasing during May. Average temperatures are 28/33 C during the day, not dropping much to around 24/25 C at night.

Wet season - The rains arrive, and bring some relief from the humidity. Rain tends to fall in the late afternoon and early evening. Expect overcast mornings, some clear skies later on, then the build up of black clouds over the mountains in Myanmar, which brings the rains, usually in the late afternoon or early evening. Average temperatures are 28/32 C during the day, dropping to around 22/25 C at night. October is usually the wettest month with an average 211mm of rain. June and July are usually a good time to visit in the rainy season, receiving on average only 84mm and 94mm of rain, with long dry periods. August is similar but with slightly higher rainfall of 96mm. September brings more heavy rain ending around mid November.
