Long a famous beach resort for Thai families wishing to escape the heat of the city, the long stretches of sand of the area are located around 200 kilometres south of Bangkok in the Southern Thailand province of Phetchaburi.
Located just 25 kilometres to the south along more beautiful stretches of beach, is the much more well known and busy resort town of Hua Hin.
